Our history
Ibiza became the 70s a shelter for artists, musicians, writers and those who sought to escape social conventions and repression. Connected by the hippie route that crossed places like Amsterdam, Goa or San Francisco. The music rose like the soundtrack of an era in which the Ibizan nights were impregnated with psychedelic rhythms, rock and jazz mergers, and the emerging disco culture that began to make the dance clues vibrate.
It was then, after founding Pacha Sitges in 1967 when Ricardo Urgell discovered Ibiza and knew that the island required its magical touch. In 1973, Pacha opened its doors, becoming an authentic temple of freedom, where the bodies danced to the compass of music until dawn, creating a parallel universe where dreams and passions flowed without restrictions. And they continue to dance.
In those days, that music and colored lights transported people to another galaxy. Since then, Pacha has never stopped growing all over the world and today, in more formats and places in the world we continue to transmit the same feeling.
“The Ibiza of 79. Crazy misfits, looking for another life alternative. Experimenting with the sensitivity and possibilities of the body and brain. No one wore a clock. They were not read newspapers or saw the television. Everyone made their immaturity a banner and full of the telluric energy of this wonderful island, they wanted the island ”.
